Throughout October, NUR Space will be offering drop-in breast feeding support and classes, baby play groups, acupressure for self-care, art of birth rituals, full moon mommy and me circle, aromatherapy, a dad's group and so much more. NUR Space, pounced "noor" space, is "an open space for people to gather around ideas of consciousness, health, pregnancy, birth and postpartum," said Caryn Davis, NUR Space's administrator and group facilitator.

The 15-year-old company is shaking things up at its newest store, which occupies three stories at the corner of East 57th Street and Third Avenue in Manhattan, retooling its merchandising formula to conjure a vibrant, alluring new showroom. Created in collaboration with Sayigh Duman Architects, lighting consultancy Light Studio LA, and branding-and-design-development firm 2x4, the 20,000-square-foot space is impressive in its sheer scale. According to USA Today, the 178 locations around the U.S. are in flux as "the company looks to renegotiate leases and rents with landlords." Forever 21 has announced it will potentially close 178 stores across the United States.

However, it is not yet known if, or when, the stores would close as negotiations with landlords are still taking place. The store will also feature 28 open, vignette-style spaces showcasing new and exclusive DWR wares. “Rows of merchandise on racks are fine for selling individual chairs,” Edelman remarks, but “we want to sell a room or a home—not just an item.” The result is a refreshingly contemporary space that’s just the right amount of irreverent, perfect for an eager Manhattan clientele. The outlet location will be selling "overstocked, returned and scratch-and-dent furniture, lighting and accessories," according to Design Within Reach's website.
